The Haumoana Ratepayers meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Gannets Bar and Grill at 7.30pm. The meeting is public, brief and everyone is welcome, come along and join us. Our committee is a combination of long standing members and new. We appreciate new members coming on board as this brings new energy and ideas.

The Haumoana Ratepayers are involved in several community projects throughout the year. These include The Haumoana Lemon Day and Mid-Winter Bonfire.

Coastal Erosion Committee - A sub-commitee of the Haumoana Ratepayers has been formed to investigate positive ways to stop the erosion and degradation of properties in Haumoana, Te Awanga and Clifton. More Info here>>
Membership Drive: Membership numbers are important to have a loud voice when lobbying local council on issues such as rubbish collection, erosion etc.
Beach Clean Up: From time to time our beach gets littered with empty cans, empty bottles, empty sandwhich wrappers, empty bags, and full nappies. On May 31st we are having a clean up session. We will be meeting at the groyne between 9 and 9.30 on Sunday, May 31st. The clean up will take a couple of hours and be followed by a sausage sizzle lunch. Gloves, rubbish bags and sausages will be provided. Come along and take pride in our environment.

Mid-winter bonfire and sculpture competition: Our annual mid-winter get together is scheduled for the Winter Solstice, June 21st. A bonfire at the Groyne with sculpture building throughout the afternoon, twilight judging, great prizes and a barbecue. The cancellation date for this event should it be really windy is June 28th. Lemon Day: In Spring we will be holding our 4th annual lemon day. Last year we had 225 eentries in the Bridge to Rivermouth race - what an amazing turnout.
