Hastings District Council. HDC chambers Thursday 3 June 2010 at 10am.
This presentation, based on a year’s work by our coastal engineer and WOW committee members, urges the councillors to come on board with the vision to Save the Cape Coast and to give Haumoana, Te Awanga and Clifton communities a greater say in their own future.
WOW’s proposal for stage one of a hard engineering solution to prevent further erosion by using groynes to build back volume on the beaches, is seeking to enter into a partnership arrangement with the Hastings Council and for them to cover the cost of resource consent.
