BUG is a local ukulele group with regular get togethers for anyone wanting to practice playing together. All skill levels welcome. Meetings are held on a Thursday every 2 weeks.

If you are interested in learning to play this instrument that is currently going through a worldwide resurgence please contact [Andy Heyward]. The practices are casual and inclusive and are usually at one of the members house (this may change if the group outgrows a living room). All you need is a ukulele and your singing voice. The group caters for all levels with the majority of players just beginners.

All times are at 7.30pm. Shared supper and BYO. Bring your uke and your voice - playing skills and ability to keep a note are optional.

Uked @ The Cabana nights are organised every first Thursday of the month by the HBUU. It's a night for ukulele aficionados in the bay to meet, socialize and play together. Each night has a Strum Along (not just strumming, we sing too!) with easy songs for everyone to play along and an Open Mic where groups and individuals get on stage. If you're a beginner, advanced or somewhere in between like most of us, we'd love to see you there. Bring your friends! BYOU (Bring Your Own Uke)! Join the underground movement!

Every first Thursday of the month, The Cabana, 11 Shakespeare Road in Napier. $5 at the door.
