Black Bridge Business Network :: 27 May 2007
Hello

Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting at Beach House Wines.  17 locals sampled wines, gleaned insider info on establishing a vineyard, tips on wine tasting and developing alternate income streams.

Cheers to the Harrison's
Big thanks to Ralph and Phillipa for hosting this meeting.  I'd like to think they are rewarded with some sales for their hospitality. Beach House Wines are easy to drink, recent medal winners. They make ideal  'thank you'  gifts for customers or new business referrals and are easy giving for family members or holiday guests.  Prices start from an affordable $15 and gift box options are available.    To purchase, phone 875 0499.

Next meeting
Most of you know our meetings are a work in process. It will be difficult to select a time and day to suit everyone... We  listened to your feedback and have developed a different format for the next meeting.

7pm Tues 26 June
Gannets Bar, Clifton Rd, Haumoana
There will be an informal hour for socialising, drinking and supping followed by a guest speaker commencing at 8pm.   We are aiming to have a Business Coach or Mentor speak.
Bar snacks will be available for anyone needing a meal.

For the future, we'll get your feedback on suitable speaker topics and look to use local experts as well as those from further afield.  How does that sound?  We're aiming to keep 90% of you happy, 90% of the time. And not drive ourselves mad in the process!

Emails
We love to let you know what is happening via email. It's fast, its free and it works.  Or so we think...
Please please when we ask for a reader receipt or a reply, have the courtesy to do this.  As BBBN organisers, business owners and mothers we need to use our time prudently.  Leaving us to make follow-up calls is not cool.

No email
This brings us to the 7 people who are not online and should not be disadvantaged by this.  We need someone to keep these people in the loop - drop them off copies of the emails and call them about meetings.  It's time for us to delegate this role.  Be daring and take it on - you might even make some good business contacts!

Contact list
After much discussion at the second meeting, it was deemed suitable to put our contact list (that is your details) on the following websites - www.kidnappersescape.com via Margot McPhail, www.haumoana.co.nz via Andy Heyward and www.hha.co.nz via Justin Harrison.  Each site will include a section for you to click on and access the list.

This will enable you to print out as many copies of the list as you need.  If you have an issue with your details being loaded in this capacity, please advice us asap.  If your details are incorrect - spelt wrong etc, please also advice.

TAPA Newsletter
Tez  and Ian please can you advice us on when we can supply the contact list for the respective ratepayers newsletters.   .

Best wishes for a great week and looong weekend.  We look forward to catching up with you on 26th June.
