Hi all
Our next meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday 16 May 2007 at BEACH HOUSE WINES (note the change in venue) at 8pm.
Beach House Wines is at 50 Clifton Road, just past the shops as you head towards Te Awnaga. There will be a charge to cover the tasting of wines.
This will be a good opportunity to meet with other business owners in the area to share ideas. At this meeting each business owner will be allowed to speak for one minute outlining who they are, what they do etc. This is to enable other members to understand what products/services we all provide so that business referrals can take place.
At the last meeting it was decided that we would like the group to evolve and remain informal for the time being. The Blackbridge Business Network will provide a register of business contacts within our community.
It was decided that by the end of May we will have decided how to distributed a contact list of businesses involved within the local community.
It was suggested that the contact list be transferred to a PDF file and loaded onto business websites for web visitors to print. Discussion was held on whether we set up our own websites, have the contact list on the Kidnappers escape website (if permitted) or on individual members websites. We need to assess whether there will be a cost involved with this.
It was decided that at each meeting everyone should be given one minute to introduce themselves and their business. There is no restriction on what you say it is provided as a means for others to get to know you and your business so that we can build trust with one another. When people feel they know you and your business it is hoped that business referrals will take place. We do not want people to feel pressured to provide business referrals to other members.
It was decided to hold workshops as needs arise. Suggestions for workshop ideas and guest speakers are welcome.
Please pass this on to other local business owners who may be interested or do not have email.
We look forward to seeing you next week.
