The focus of the Haumoana Market Day is Arts in the Park with an emphasis on quality Arts and Crafts stalls.  In 2010 we will be offering a limited number of stall sites for certain goods i.e. clothes, books, bric a brac, secondhand goods, and food. 

This event is hugely successful with an estimated 20,000 people visiting stallholders. The cost of stalls covers our advertising, with the remainder going towards Haumoana School’s ‘Wish List’.

To apply for a stall, complete the application below and return it with your cheque made payable to Haumoana Home and School, and include a stamped self-addressed envelope.

The cost of a 4m x 5m (frontage) stall is $90 (with an early bird fee of $75 if paid before 1 August 2010). For applications, received before September, confirmation will be forwarded to you by email or post on receipt of your application and your cheque will be banked. A receipt, your site forms and your stall number will be sent by post in September. Stalls will not be issued without payment. There are no powered sites. Please state if you use a generator.

If you were here in 2009, we will do our best to give you the same stall site if you wish this, however you will need to get your application in early as we work on a first-in, first-served basis.

Stallholders' Conditions

1. Acceptance of your application depends on whether your products meet our standards.
2. Our standards being:
   a. Preference given to New Zealand-made crafted products. We will however, allow some overseas craft.
   b. That your product is not over-represented at our Market.
3. Preference will be given to those who have previously held a stall, providing our standards are met.
4. Stalls are non refundable.
5. Your payment must accompany your application.
6. Food, Drink and Amusement stalls will be asked to pay a commission on the day’s takings.  That amount is 10% for each 4m x 5m food site and 20% commission for amusement stalls.
7. Gates open at 6.30am.  You must set up your stall by 8.30am.  All stallholder vehicles must be off site by 8.30am.
8. Stallholders must set up their stall within the marked site area that has been allocated on the receipt.  Failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the Park.
9. No stallholder will be permitted to set up his or her stall after 8.30am.
10. All vehicles must be off site by 8.30am.
11. You are expected to remove all your rubbish by the end of the day.
12. No refunds will be given due to circumstances beyond our control.  There will be no refund if a stallholder cancels on Market Day or is not set up by 8.30am.
13. The Market Day will be held on the following Sunday if postponed. Postponement message – listen to 89.5fm Sunday 1st November
